This week I had a little bit of extra time so I decided to join my friends at illustrationfriday.com for this week's illustration topic: Swell. Illustration Friday is a website where illustrators submit their take on a topic each week just for fun.
When I first read the topic I thought of 1920's fashion- just swell! but I decided to go with my second thought (which is usually more creative)- a pregnant woman's feet, which are usually swollen. This illustration is what came of that thought and a few hours on a Sunday night. I know there's a lot more I could do with it, and I might return to the idea later, but it's not a bad start.
